It is a sad day in America when a congressman is consider to have big balls when he is merely doing his job.

It is sad. What's more sad is I honestly believe the entire system is corrupted beyond hope of repair. When your Senator or Representative can be legally bribed by corporations, and no one seems to care, what can you do? A judge would be disbarred if caught taking "contributions" to influence his decision on a ruling. Why is it different for Congress?

They understand that if Barack Obama were somehow able to cure hunger in the world the Republicans would blame him for overpopulation.

They understand that if Barack Obama could somehow bring about world peace they would blame him for destroying the defense industry.

In fact, they understand that if Barack Obama has a BLT sandwich tomorrow for lunch, they will try to ban bacon.
Can't argue with that. It's true. How many of the front line republicans have ever said anything truly positive about obama without caveating it with some negativity?

Boehner for example, and the guy is cool--he's make an awesome gunslinger in a movie--would probably condemn Obama for meddling even if Obama personally disarmed somebody about to shoot up boehner's family. The partisan hate is so puerile.

"the Republicans want you to die quickly"

The Republicans support the current system which costs much more in terms of GDP than what other countries have yet leaves tens of millions of Americans uninsured or under-insured while leaving the rest of the populace living in terror of losing their jobs and insurance while also burdening private businesses with benefits concerns.

Uh, yeah, the Republicans really do want Americans to die quickly. The Republicans, who also support mass immigration, illegal immigration (see Bush's and McCain's amnesty plans), foreign outsourcing, and foreign work visas are traitors.

So I'm having a hard time distinguishing between these two statements:

Palin: Dems want death panels
Grayson: Repubs want you to die quickly

Somebody from the left, please explain the nuance

Actually, she said more than that Dems want death panels.

Palin: HR 3200 contains a provision for death panels

...and that can be objectively proven or disproven.

Very simply, the Republicans support death panels at private insurance companies and also the destruction of the U.S. economy and its transformation into a third world country.

It might not be completely accurate to say that they want Americans to die quickly. Rather, it might be more accurate to say that the Republicans want Americans to live in poverty and to serve their wealthy masters while also occasionally dying from a lack of health care.

Thanks, I appreciate a witless tool such as yourself to clarify that dems can be just as big of fuckwits as Palin, etc.

You're the one who is witless. Why don't you come out and provide a defense of the Republicans' plan and their economic policies instead of slinging insults and making baseless claims of lying.

Why not explain to us how foreign outsourcing, mass immigration, illegal immigration, and H-1B and L-1 visas, all of which the Republicans support, is good for Americans?

For the record, I despise the Democrats too but have more hatred for the Republicans.

I don't need to defend the republicans plan because I don't support it, I'm just pointing out a lying asshole.

Just recent lies you've made:

From the other thread:
Lie #1:
"for-profit insurance company middlemen that are responsible for huge difference in GDP spent on health care between the U.S. and other first world nations."

Lie #2:
"insurance company death panels routinely rescind paying customers' insurance at the drop of a cancer diagnosis."

From this thread:
Lie #3:
"Republicans support death panels at private insurance companies"

Lie #5:
"(republicans support) the destruction of the U.S. economy and its transformation into a third world country"

Lie #6:
"Republicans want Americans to live in poverty and to serve their wealthy masters while also occasionally dying from a lack of health care. "

Shit, rush limbaugh would be impressed with your rhetoric. If you want to discuss the rest of your rant, start a new thread.

If his "balls are so big, he needs he forklift to carry them around", he'd be speaking to HIS OWN PARTY - you know, the part that controls both sides of the House and the Executive. I'm thinking he just *wishes* he had balls.

By the way, isn't this the guy that referred to the health care situation as "a holocaust"? I'm sure there are a whole bunch of dead Jews in Germany that would like to be able to point out the differences to him.

The first paragraph makes absolutely no sense. Articulate why you think he should be talking to his own party, instead of just spouting shit because Fox told you to.

Use holocaust in a Sentence
?noun
1. a great or complete devastation or destruction, esp. by fire.
2. a sacrifice completely consumed by fire; burnt offering.
3. (usually initial capital letter) the systematic mass slaughter of European Jews in Nazi concentration camps during World War II (usually prec. by the).
4. any mass slaughter or reckless destruction of life.
Origin:
1200?50; ME < LL holocaustum (Vulgate) < Gk holókauston (Septuagint), neut. of holókaustos burnt whole. See holo-, caustic

The word "holocaust" is not owned by the Jews, and is not exclusive to the murder of Jews by the Germans during WWII.

Also, your sig is grammatically incorrect, and makes no sense, either. Try "No man who has friends is a failure."

Lastly, you're an idiot.

LOL...well, let's see if the party in power is addressing the REAL holocaust in healthcare...
238,337 deaths for medicare patients

Looks like government medicare kills far more than any insurance "death panels". So, what are the democrats doing about medical errors? Oh, jack and shit.

democrats have a filibuster-proof majority. if they can't get something passes, they should be looking within their own ranks.

Are you retarded? Sure, his party has control, but many of them think for themselves.

A 49% BRICK WALL OF IGNORANCE from the GOP makes everyone in America suffer, the fact that they won't even consider thinking for themselves says a lot.

The democrats don't need the republicans period. I find this nothing more to be an excuse by Democrats and the leadership in each house for failing to get rank and file members to fall in line.

But but but the republicans are obstructing and saying no. Blah blah blah. You have the power now shove shit through. Isn't that the point of having majority in anything. to have your way. If zero republicans vote for it even better. the democrats can run ads to death that republicans truly want to kill you from now to eternity.

How many chances do Democrats think they'll get to have such power? I find it funny when you compare it was to a few years ago. The republican leadership pretty much got everyone tow the line and fall lock step when they had the majority.

Obama needs to stop standing on the sidelines and the drop the hammer. Bitch slap Pelosi and Reid and get health care reform and whatever else he wants done.

No, everyone should act as an individual on behalf of their constituents for the best results to occur.

Those of you who think it is okay for 49% of congress to just say NO to anything a Democrat proposes are part of the problem.

If you don't see that this is an issue I don't know what to tell you.

People should not be a hive mind.

You should also put the quote you complain about in context, for accuracy, even though context doesn't exonerate him.

I guess my question would be, if this guy is so concerned about passing healthcare reform, why isn't he going after the obstructionists in his own party (you know, the ones who *are* actually holding up reform) instead of the neutered minority party?
