Is that good?

What's the default voltage for the processor? The motherboard defaults at 1.425.

I am not "without a doubt" sure as to the "default" voltage for the FX-60 but I havent done any o/c on mine and my bios show it as at 1.350V...but also for some strange reason after installing the chip just a couple of weeks ago ..as soon as it was booted it showed as running at 2.7 something ghz..Everest .. Sandra..even windows shows it as running at 2.7..I have no idea how..I havent touched it !!...lol...but back on topic.. thats a nice o/c there.. would ya mind revealing how you reached it.. in the near future I may get "brave" enough to overclock this "very expensive beast"...lol

Yeah, a 300mhz overclock on the best chip available isn't much. Their are guys at newegg even listing as 3.37ghz. Thatw what I would be aiming for personally.

Should be 1.4. Most quality boards will report 1.4 +/-0.2VDC. The most accurate method is to check the voltage with a DMM if the MB is outside the case.

really?..wow...furballi.. I am not questioning your reply.. I am simply wondering why my bios shows it at 1.350V.. is that just what my mobo is set at or what could it be?

No, it's not 1.4. I've owned about 9 AMD dual cores... all default to very low volts, around 1.31v.

I would say anything from 1.26 to 1.36 is the stock volts, usually around 1.32-ish.

AMD specs said 1.30-1.35 but the BIOS can err by at LEAST 0.5V. The two samples that I've come across show 1.37 and 1.39 in BIOS.

My Sempron 3100 Paris (130nm) is suppose to run at 1.5V. However, the default Vcore is ~1.4V (per DMM). Dunno why.
