In all of the new processors (AMD) what is an FX60 running at 2.8 equal to? In X2 speeds given the same cache size. Just curious as to what the nearly 3 year old bucket of bolts compares to.
...which makes it low side of midrange by today's standards. Still plenty of power for general tasks & such, maybe getting a little weak for gaming but still not too bad. Wait till the next generation (from Intel or AMD) before upgrading.
i would think the fx60 is a bit faster than the e5200 at stock speed. I say maybe close to a e7200. However AMD is mostly server chip, it might run faster on server apps. :]

Looking at this review which compares the E5200 to an X2 6000+ (3Ghz) Link it would be the FX60 that is beaten slightly, as the E5200 is pretty much similar to the 6000+, trading blows in different apps.
