naw, I wasn't stupid enough to buy the latest and greatest

I had a AMD 3200+ Venice now have a Intel Core Duo 2 E6600

FX-55 isn't so great now huh learn your lesson?

Oh hey - do me a favor and pick that up? I dropped my enormous wallet on the ground in front of you.

EDIT: You know what? Here, take 20 bucks and go buy yourself some commas to punctuate with.
Why is your wallet so large when you spend all your money on bad investments? People that buy the cutting edge for 2-5x what it would be worth if they waited half a year, are like preppy girls that will pay 2-5x for cloaths becuse of a cooler tag sewn on them.

I wouldn't pay for one when it was 1000$, and when I was seriously looking at it, I was able to get a faster AND cheaper AMD X2... (cause the FX55 remained a little more expensive then mainstream parts for some odd reason...)

I remember my FX-55... Two of them actually. I paid $300 for both about 1.5 years ago.

But I wasn't as proud of those machines as I was my socket 940 FX-51 and FX-53 rigs! That's rockin old school! For a while I was trying to build a machine from every FX processor, I had about 6 of them. It was going to be an eclectic folding farm lol. I'm pretty sure my two Q6600 machines are almost equal to those six.

Opty 144 and 180 still in operation. My 180 based MCE box is still a damn fast machine. There is simply no reason at all for me to upgrade it. The thing boots up pretty fast and uhh, if I can play 1080p video with no frame loss, can't get much faster than that. 🙂
