FX-8320 overclocking (probably obvious)

This is a 960T (zosma) 3GHz black edition x4, 95w advertised tdp. unlock two cores, it becomes a thuban 3GHz x6, 125w tdp advertised, but obviously not accurate.

I have had the max TDP read different based on different overclocks with prime95.


Wow, pretty crazy. I'll have to check my Thuban tonight with CPU-z, I thought mine said 125 watt in the past. But, my CPU is a 1090T, which is actually rated at 125 watts for six cores. The 960T being a 95 watt four core part, and then unlocked, they're not 100% exactly comparable. But I hadn't seen that before, thanks!

I have a 960T also - on 6 cores it also showed 161 watts with CPU-Z. Think I was running it at 3700 MHz at the time.

Using a 8320 currently though.
