Think back to all the systems you've owned in the last 5 - 10 years. How many of them have you upgraded the CPU in? Like replaced the actual CPU for a newer one that fits in the same socket?

If the answer is zero then you know what system is the best value for you. If the answer is greater than zero grab the Skylake 6500 (which you'll likely never upgrade).

I upgraded a Conroe E6300 (2007) to a Wolfdale E8500(2012), but I was also given a better LGA775 board with the Wolfdale processor, so...

Then I switched to laptops.
