Sorry if this has been asked before, but is any vendor going to release a 5900 Ultra 128mb?

I would hope so to compete price wise with the ATI 9800 Pro 128mb.

There will be no 128MB "Ultra," though I'm sure some vendors will sell some cards at or near that speed. The regular 5900 has a slightly slower core (400 vs. 450MHz) but the same memory speed. No doubt even regular 5900's will OC to 5900U levels, though.

Here's a very nice review of an MSI 5900 (regular). (Note how quickly they updated their article to reflect their "incorrect" SC numbers. :p)

Oh, they will. Count on it. The GeForce FX 5900/Ultra is nVidia's real flagship videocard not the GeForce FX 5800/Ultra. They'll make a 256MB of it, too. I'd go with the 256MB version because no matter how fast your GPU is it'll slow to a crawl if it doesn't have enough texture memory for future games and has to use your much slower system memory.:)
