*update*
(i got my video cards ocled, thanks to some of the folks here using coolbits) anything past 472/1.11 after 15 mins of playing F.E.A.R with all eye candy maxout it start to artifact bad. I think they are heating up pretty bad. Need new coolers for them.
Score in 3dmark05 12754****

Google.com

Search Coolbits or rivatuner

Download one

Insert into registry(if coolbits)

Install if rivatuner

Open nVidia control panel for coolbits or run rivatuner

OC FTW!!!!!! :D

I'm using Rivatuner v.2.0 RC 15.7 and had my 6800GT overclocked. It was completely stable with the 7x.xx drivers. When I updated to the 81.94 version I got artifacts and lockups in CounterStrike Source. I had to lower my card back to stock settings to get it to run smooth on this driver. I'm going to have to wait until they fix this with either the next driver release or the next release for RivaTuner before restoring the overclock.

Edit: What I'm saying is that this version of RivaTuner doesn't play nice with the 81.94 drivers.

Nice OC on a Clawie.

I wouldn't expect more than a 10% OC on the video cards and in fact I don't see why you should bother.

I got an extra 100mhz on core and 270(!) on the ram But I know most people generally get around 470 with the GT core and 1170-1200 for the ram

I have the latest Rivatuner running with the 81.94 drivers, and my overclock of a 6800NU is stable, mostly. It likes to uh . . . lock up, stutter, and then resume when I play NWN. It only does this occasionally. I actually get fewer artifacts than before.

I finally got my machine built (and will start a new thread soon) after some initial tweeks and Have my 7800gtx's running at 490 / 1.3 easily stable and my fx-57 running at 3.08 without really any work at all. Yeah I have a lot of fans and watercooling, but I haven't really even tried to push the system yet. I built it about a month ago and since then replaced a couple parts and put it in a different case and now things are operating so much better. The ram and cooling were the big sticking points. I'm going to try and really push it this week and spend a day or two trying to get an optimal target, but I'm already very pleased with the benchmarks (near 14k 3dmark05, over 100k aquamark)

my prime is running for 2 hrs then it error out. what is the mximum vcore i can apply to my cpu? my load temps while running prime95 are 44c max.

thanks

Depends on the cooling you have on youir CPU. Since it's air, I guess you wouldn't want to push voltage past 1.6v or so, and I'd be squeemish at that level. The 1.62 you listed in your original post is pretty damn high already.

You shouldn't need that much VCore. On my FX-57 a 10% OC only requires about a 5.125V setting. Beyond that 5.25 is what I see on a lot of articles. But my prime runs rock stable at 3.08 (220HT & 14x) at only 5.125. How you have your memory settings will make a big difference on your prime failing too. But 1.6V sounds way too high to me.

Well mine is a clawhammer(they can stand a bit more vcore and temp.
just not sure of the max, I read in another thread sometime ago that 1.70v would be max but not sure and can't find the thread to verify. what do you mean when you said the memory make a big difference with prime95 . I thought when you run small ftt the only thing that gets torture is the cpu. I will use a divider to see if the memory is playing a factor when prime fails. Also look at my sig for my temps
