fx 55 overclock problem

for some reason l cant get the fx 55 to clock to 2.9 only 2.8 its not reading hot, just becomes v unstable, at 2.8 its stable and awsome so its getting left there but have any of you had this problem ?

It's already clocked high, so don't expect a massive OC on air. Try increasing the voltage, and if you have cheap ram, use a divider to make sure you aren't pushing the ram too hard.

also, reduce the ldt multi.

Very common, most FX-55's top out at 2.8-2.9 with a very few hitting 3.0 on air. With phase change cooling 3.0+ is almost guaranteed.

thats kinda sad, becuase some people get their 3000+'s up to 3000mhz.

motherboard?...maybe the BIOS will not allow for that

LOL. Yeah they get to 3000 on phase change with their 3000+ and get to 3.4 or more with the FX-55 on phase change. LOL.
