FX 55 HELP

Hi Guys,
Just building a new system, FX55 on a K8N Neo 2 board. On boot get the constant alarm indicating that the processor is installed incorrectly. Double checked and it is right, retried with fresh arctic silver. Still get the tone of death LOL. Using the cooler that came with it, all fans are operating OK. I installed that 4 indicator light USB diagnostic piece of kit and it shows 4 red lights which indicates processor failure.

Checked all connections and all is OK. Any ideas would be great as I don't have a clue what the problem is other than a naff processor.

Positive that it's arranged in the socket correctly? Arrows lining up? Other than that, I'd say just RMA the sucker.
 
Helps if I pluged the CPU power 4 way connector in LOL, man I am a twat LOL. Now it fails on the Video card a 6800 ultra, won't initialise the screen.

Uh, I hate to ask, but are both the power connecters plugged into the Ultra? And remember, you can't use a Y adapter.
 
Man my brain is scrambled, I had not connected the power lead to the Ultra, forgot the new cards need seperate juice, my 3000 Barton with an ATI card do not have the power LOL. I have the BIOS screen up heeeha, thanks for the tip.

Yep man I feel like a right d**k h**d LOL. Will be interesting benching it against your rig, I am using crucial ballistic memory, that new Raptor drive so it will be interesting to see what it can bench at. At OCK'r they reckon that the MS motherboard is the fastest so we will see if they are right.
