Anyone know where there are benchmarks to compare. Is ther any point? or is the performance increase minimal.

Don't waste your money on the extra memory. Heck, I'd advise against wasting your money on a 5200 at all. Either make the smart budget choice and buy a 4200 or save up for a faster, prettier, more capable ATi DX9 card (like a 9600 Pro, 9700, or 9800).
 
Thanks - I already have a Ti4200 128 - Tiger Direct(tothe trash bin) was pushing a 5200 256 for $99 -I just picked up a 5200 128 for an extra computer @ $55 delivered to the door @buyxtremegear.Com
 
Stick with your ti4200, it'll destroy the fx5200. The only time it actually becomes a competition between those two is when you turn AA on with a fx5200 ultra. And with the ultra version selling somewhere around $200, there's no point in buying one.
