I am not sure how a 3ghz unit will be called a 5000+ though.....2.2ghz w/ 1gb of cache is 3400+ and the 2.0ghz w/ 1gb was a 3200+ it would seem the pr rating would be a 4200+ unless there was some architectual enhacements to gain performance...I know it is the FX but since they don't put a pr rating on those it is hard to see what it would be called other then like FX59 or something....The 3400+ did well against it so I don't see it but maybe a 3500+ versus it.

Heck I just want to see you get an A64 so when you talk you actually know what you are talking about....Yeah I read your comments all around and I amazed you know so much (or little) without even having experienced a A64 you praise and a P4c you belittle regularly...

Duvie i know you know it has not 1GB of cache... but anyways it stupid to think that a 5000+ will be a 3Ghz, I suppose also that Amd won't increase the cache size... and if for some reason they do that surely they'll create a L3 cache having 1 MB of L2 is more than necessary. and that plus the on die memomry controller makes... at least today sound stupid to put more cache on that beast

very nice

too bad he can't pair it with an awesome video card (oc'd of course) and take the 3dmark2k3 lead
but that might be difficult with the cooling he is using

i bet it does seti packets in under an hour easy

Duvie a 3Ghz AM64 With 3Ghz FSB through hyper transport link plus high speed DDR2 maybe at 1500Mhz running in Dual Channel again giving u 3Ghz may give the 3Ghz AMD64 the 5000+ Rating .. (3Ghz CPU 3GHZ FSB 3Ghz DDR )that?s what I was getting at and in the end it all comes down to how fast intel?s P4 will be when it gets to 5Ghz AMD?s magic numbers are always trying to be around the P4 performance mark.

And this is all speculation dont take this as anything but just another post in a forum! 😀

His 9800XT is obviously overclocked for the benches.
