I'm sitting on the 11th floor of our building and my window faces the Canada / US border. Pretty much every day at about this time, a military chopper flies by doing the border patrol or whatever.

What kind is it? It has 2 sets of blades, it's green and is really loud and cool. Just wondering what the model is so I can check out some Google images or something.

you know nothing of military helicopters.

The only dual-rotor helicopters in the US Military fleet are the Chinook and Sea Knight.

The Sea Knight is exclusive to the Navy, so it's got to be a Chinook.

I'm still in awe at how loud the hueys are. No wonder the vietcongs knew american soldiers were coming long before they even reach the landing zone.

it actually kind of makes sense, as last I knew, they were having issues with Chinooks in the middle east theater, so they probably rotated as many as possible home.
