He's just being a good little manager for the camera. Off camera you know he's wanting to kick the crap out of that home plate umpire. 😛

I dunno, when Fox zoomed in and slow-mo'ed the replay it looks like it hits the ground.

No, it doesn't. The sound also reveals only one sound -- not the ball hitting the ground and then the glove. Also, the batter started running back to the dugout at first. It was obvious to everyone in the park that it was a clean strikeout.

I don't think you have download access on

for that username
It works fine for me.

Cause it's your server?

I think you have bandwidth limit set to 0

I can initialize download ... Don't get access denied error

But I receive no bytes .... just get a 0 byte file.

While it continues to try to download

it clearly hit the ground,

be a homer all you want but SHEESH, don't lie.

the ball NEVER it the ground. it was a CLEAR out. this is one of the worst calls i've ever seen.

Josh Paul shoud have tagged Pierzynski anyways to make sure he was out. I didn't really see it clearly at all because I was ALLLLLL the way in right field 😛

I restarted. Hopefully that helps.

About this play...

The Facts
1. Umpire signaled an out...which would have been inning over.
2. Ball did not hit ground first.
3. Even Pierzynski started going back to the dugout before going to first (see below).

The Theory
1. Pierzynski could have been called out by not staying in the base line. He started going back to the dugout, even crossing homeplate (left handed hitter).
2. It was a close call...Pierzynski sold the umpire by turning around and running to first. However, Josh Paul (Angels Catcher) should have thrown it anyway (a mistake that one of the Molina brothers probably wouldnt have made). In addition, if Pierzynski had turned straight for first, Paul would have tagged Pierzynski or thrown to first. But Pierzynski went toward the dugout first, Josh Paul was already in the motion of tossing the ball toward pitching mound and running to the dugout.

This is obviously a controversial call that wont be forgotten or talked about.

the problem I think is this ump has strange motions.

throughout the game he pumps/throws his fist for strikes. I'm accustomed to seeing them point to the side like towards first for strikes.

Baseball as Harold reynolds points out needs Uniformed rules for what motion is what. the fist pump may be accepted by everyone as an out but there's no rule and each ump can use their own style. the only one you can be sure every ump uses is the safe signal.

Lets me honest here, we all have the benefit of going frame by frame. And even then it looks extremely close. Fox only showed that zoom in shot once after the play happen.

Bad calls happen, move on and get the next guy.

Esocbar was on all and simply float one for crede. before AJ he got 3 straight strike outs. with the 3rd strike being horrible pitches to swing at.

TOTAL BULLSH!T

The ump did the strike sign.

THEN STOOD UP AND DID THE "OUT" FIST CLUTCH / FOOT KICK SIGN

He did two distinct signs ... second one signalling inning over

How can they revese that?
