WTF, I say the fvcking game is fvcking broken. I can't hit sht almost anytime. Everyone is point and click and I can't hit sht. This one time, I could've killed someone and then fvking pistol doesn't shoot when I pressed the button for 3 times. Another time with the pistol, I was running just as slow as with the AK. WTF! Is it my computer, is it steam, is it valve. It's fvcking valve who fvcked with this POS.

Its fvcking sad that I can kill more people using inaccurate weapons like the MAC10, but can't kill them using the AK. Sht! the reason I starting playing again was because I kicked so much ass with the MAC10 a few months ago, but then when I wanted to get serious about it, I couldn't kill anything.

I even use 2-3 shot burts. You can't get more accurate than that. but this other kid using 4 shot bursts lands headshots every fvcking time. WTF. All I'm doing is aiming and shooting.

I called my friend to spectate on me while I had a 1:2 ratio. And for that 1 round, I was ****** good, kicking everyones ass, but before I couldn't touch the broad side of the ****** barn.

WHY?! WHY?! GOD DAMN VALVE. Douchebags!



BT fvcking W. Firefox 2 is awsome. Because even though the power went out in my house, I was able to restore all this typing. At least something good happened today.

And this is the only multiplayer FPS, including Day of Defeat: S, that I have problems with. I never had issues with UT2004, FEAR Combat, Red Orchestra, Day of Defeat, Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, even Rainbow Six, IIRC, Battlefield 1942, and Battlefield 2.

You know what it probably is: Source fvcking sucks ass.

Yeah really... unplug, go outside, don't drive!

Other than that... start looking into cmdrate and updaterate, make a script to adjust these settings on the fly in CS. When you have this tweaked you should be much better, but you'll still have some bad connects. The only way to solve bad placement in the server queue is a reconnect to the server. If you're behind enough HPB's in the queue you'll be hating life. All games based off the Half-Life engine have these issues.

Different weapons have different firing patterns. Even with slow fire, the bullets will usually not land where you intend them to. While the mac10 and tmp are pretty random, leading to frequent lucky kills at close range, most of the other weapons have a particular quirk to them. For instance, the AK will have massive but predictable muzzle rise, more so then the cross hair and view shaking would indicate. When using the AK, aim for your opponent's feet and go full auto until they are dead (unless at long range, then go for a single head shot). It takes a little bit of getting used to, forcing yourself to aim low, because you think that it couldn't possibly work. But once you force yourself to try it, you will start getting quick kills at close and medium ranges. The M4 tends to increase its hit box in a circle, so your best bet is to rapidly click to fire as quickly as possible without going full auto, since its recoil effects dissipate quickly. Once you learn how to use each weapon, it is just a matter of reflexes.
 
Dude, either:
A. You aren't very good; practice more, and don't get angry WHILE you're playing.
B. What settings are you running it at? Check your FPS in game; if it's below ~35, turn them down till you hit at least 45+. That's the easiest, most comfortable, most pwnage setting (yes I said pwnage).

i swear my weapons are never as accurate as everyone else's, ESPECIALLY the AK.
 
Wow, I've been banned from the steam forums, indefinitely for ONE offensive posting. The same as the OP here. Even though they blocked every "fvck" in it, although missed "sht". I guess calling Valve a douchebag is not good.

Still, that's some severe punishment.

And either your settings/rates are completely screwed up or you just really, really suck. I one shot headshot with AK and M4 all the time... scout on the other hand seems to have crappy accuracy.

At one time the initial bullet out of an AK-47 was 100% accurate assuming you weren't moving. Pretty sure they've changed it now. But those were awesome times.

Scout does suck unless your crouching. I am decent with it though but I usually just aim in the chest area if I am running around. Some damage is better then no damage. BTW how long have you been playing CS?

My cousin can strafe and headshot with the scout.

I've been playing CS sine 2001, maybe 2000, although not continously. I think I stopped playing in 2002 and then I started playing the Source version when it came out, but it always seemed like bullshit. It brought a lot of memories back, but I these hit issues have been bugging me since the beginning of CS:S. The hitbox issue was so bad that even the head of an AFK is illusive enough to a crouching single shot from an AK 5 feet away.
 
Dude, i'm sorry, but you really must suck if you have problems like that... i've been playing for like a month and I get headshots with most weapons alot. The learning curve is pretty low; play on newbie only servers and get your bearings first.

There shouldnt be a "getting bearings" stage if your good at other FPS games. Im fantastic at half life 2 Deathmatch because i was great at halo 1 due to being awsome at c&c renegade. Yet for no reason i get an 8-32 k/d ratio. It sucks.
 
Do you play on any specific server? Maybe we can hop on so we can see how you play? Maybe your just playing against all good players? But if you been playing a long time off/on you should be decent.
 
moving around with ak turns accuracy to sh*t. firing more than 3 shots in a row also turns it to sh*t. but at long range and standing still/crouching it is highly accurate for first shot or two. mac 10...up close u can spray and run. medium range not so much.. long range u are out of luck. ak is 1 hit hs kill. mac10 is 2 shots to head. so even up close you have to use more bullets to kill.

At medium-short ranges when there is more than one enemy just spray at their feet with the AK. If you know the recoil pattern well enough you will recoil enough to headshot 2+ enemies in a second or two.

Reflexes own at short range. Being able to deal well with recoil owns at medium range. Dead-on aim owns at all ranges 😛

With games like CS:S, you really got to play for a while before you get good again.

If you stop playing for like 2 weeks, your gonna suck. To stay good, you almost have to play every day at least for a half-hour or so.
