I had one prof where I brought the wrong notebook to class that had should have had my homework in it and he wouldn't give me the 30 min it would take me to walk home after class and get the right one to turn it in. We're talking about an assignment that would have taken me 8-12+ hours to complete and the jerk wouldn't give me 30 min to go get it. B in Calc 2 isn't that bad I guess, but I should have had an A!!!

Another time, I had a practical exam in a CAD class. The thing lasted 3 1/2 hours. After about 2 1/2 hours, I'm like man I gotta whiz and the guy was all like if you leave you can't come back. I told him it's a drawing test, it's not like I'm gonna go across the hall and get someone else to draw the stupid widget. I finally decided I couldn't hold it anymore and told him I had to go and he could take my test as it was (incomplete). He proceeded to lecture me in front of the class about taking care of business before class and then let me go and return anyway.

Moral of the stories, been there done that feel for ya. Good luck on the part you did get to do!

i would have whizzed in class in my seat as a sign of protest and finished my test

Once I was sick but went to school anyways, and the teacher would not let us leave, I sneezed and a HUGE snot ball came out and literally I had both hands cupped together filled with mucus. I went up to the teacher and asked to goto the bathroom and she said no!!! Then I showed her my hands full of snot porridge and she let me go LOL

I still have nightmares of being unprepared the night before a final...and the scared feeling of knowing i have to cover half the book in one night. /shudders

College = life impacting education!

I haven't had one for a while but I had a few.

haha I've head dreams about missing exams the night before the exam... that wasn't all that fun.

I occassionally have nightmares where I stop going to a class for the entire semester, or I forget to go to the class everyday, somehow, so I screw my grade or I barely make it in time to take the final. Bleh.

Haha, I have had a nightmare like that!

all final exams in my university are set up in a 3 hours time frame. it is up to the prof to reduce that. it was econometrics.

Same here. Freshmen Organic 1c. Studied till 5am, test was at 8am-10am. I went to sleep and didn't get up till 9:40am, just enough time to think "I'm Fvuked over, but can't do sh*t about it."

Ended up taking a zero on the final that was worth 50% of the grade. Somehow I ended up with a C in the class. w00t.

I think it should happen to everyone, if not just once.

for me it was the other way around. it was daylight savings and my watch wasn't adjusted. i rushed myself through the test, handed it in, only to find out i had like 1.5 hours out of the 2.5 hours left.

Myself and my 2 roommates all missed an organic final a couple years ago. The final was from 8-9:40am and none of the 3 of us got up. We got a random unrelated phone call at 9:30am. That was ****** but our prof let us sit there and take it and we got out of there.

Wow, yuck!

I had to take an emergency crap during a math final once, though in this case the TA let me go to the restroom without any hassle. Actually, I had a similar thing happen during a programming lab practical, and the TAs there even let me go (they weren't always very helpful, but I wasn't feeling well and looked really sick then, lol). In both cases I felt fine at the start of the exam, with no idea that I'd feel nature calling (rather, screaming) an hour later.

Happened to me during a calc test. Its the worst thing that can happen to you while you're trying to concentrate! lol

blackrod is very sorry to hear that. blackrod remembers the days of cramming for exams in college. that is one of the things that blackrod does not miss about higher education.

Sorry for the confusion, blackrod has community college confused with higher education. ;)

maybe not for you, but for me it works. In fact, on the last test I didn't even get to sleep at all and I still passed the test with and A-.

Wow, you're lucky the professor even let you in. I've had professors who stopped letting people into the room after a certain time since other people have all ready left. At least you'll probably never miss a final again.

How about an update? How did you do on the exam? What grade did you make in the class?

Reminds me of a prof who would not let anyone in late for an exam, there were two exams and a final. Everyone knew this, the whole class was notified of the policy. Of course someone shows up late for the first exam, he doesn't let them in and they fail. Everybody was early for the next one.

don't understand that. Most that get there on-time and pass exceedingly well probably wouldn't bother to show up even earlier.

I worked out my tardiness with my professors in biology and zoology. I showed up late for most lectures and a bit messed up...however; I answered questions with my head in my arms and probably drooling on my desk. I was excluded from answering.

I also showed up late, and finished first on most tests. If I didn't finish first I still set the curve.

Now there were some classes like political science/history, music/art appreciation types, some math: that I struggled with.
