Fuzzy sound

For some reason not yet nown to me, all the sound coming out of my computer has been really fuzzy, I can really hear it when I have headphones on. I have not changed the drivers or anything like that, it just sort of started to happen all of a sudden. My sound cards is a ALS 4000.

no irq conflict in the device manager?

remove the card and reinsert it, check the connections on all cables...

make sure no power cords/fans/radios/etc are too close to it or its cables...

can you try that card in another system? It might be broke...
