FUUUUUUU -ABC's FlashForward season and show ends on cliff hanger

Well there are still those reality shows, you know... Competitive Macramé with Retired Animal Stars... Dancing with Sea Monkeys... Are You Smarter Than a Reality Show Host..

I liked this show and Happy Town, and they both got nuked. Much easier to 'write' those 'reality' shows. God I fucking hate reality shows. I want to go on one, take a bottle of ipecac about 20 minutes before show time and let go.
blame your friends and neighbors.

both Happy Town and FF had terrible ratings. I can't really blame ABC for canceling them.

Flashforward really should have cut like 75% of its storylines. it was just too all over the place.

I really liked FF. I don't think the show is particularly good (it certainly could use better direction/writing) but it was entertaining enough to watch.

This bugs me, I haven't seen the final episode, though I guess now - it really doesn't matter.

I blame ABC for putting Happy Town after a run of sitcoms, it was out of place.

I liked FF quite a bit but it seemed like they went into an early break right around the time I switched from Dish to FIOS and I never realized it came back on and I guess I didn't care enough to look for it..
Looking at the air dates on tv.com I probably stopped watching at episode 9. Oh well.

V started off relatively OK, but got progressively worse... and the kid always annoyed us, throughout the season. The last episode was fairly bad IMO.

FF stalled a bit early on but later got progressively better. The last episode was great IMO.

By the end of the season, I MUCH MUCH prefer Flash Forward to V, but by that time it was too late for the ratings I guess, and I'd also guess that V is a lot cheaper to produce.

Nice, scratch down another canceled TV show I've followed that has no ending. I wanted to know if the cop made the Matrix Morpheus jump to the helicopter (prob not)

At first I thought that, then when the camera panned out I remembered the giant pool of water down there. He could have been jumping for that maybe? Depending on how far it is from the window.

But then he'll go splat. He was at least several floors up.

Remember when Janice caught "mole"

she tackled her in the same area. It was really nothing more than a really really shallow pool.

This show was just not very good. I watched every episode of this and V, and IMO V was the better show (barely) and has much more long term potential. If one had to go, I think ABC made the right call. Also:

I beg to differ

After the long break I stopped watching V cuz the daughter/son subplot bored the shit out of me

I'm not sure I even want to watch the finale anymore cuz it WAS getting fucking good.

Do you really want to start comparing boring subplots between these two shows?

Damn its canceled? Loved this show. This is why i hardly watch any shows on TV anymore. It seems 9 out of 10 shows get canceled once you are hooked. I think they need to go about TV shows in a new way. If the network likes a show enough to fund it then they need to sign contracts for so many season. That way ALL shows can at least be wrapped up.

Unfortunately, that's about where we are at. It's just on a seasonal basis.

I usually wait until a show is entirely over, then watch it from start->end. No season ending cliff hangers (where I lose interest waiting), no dealing with the "is it going to get renewed" bs, and just enjoyment from start to end 🙂

I need to get back to doing that.

Well the double agent subplot for FF basically pwned everything in V, so any further discussion is moot =P

But I am curious to know what you feel were the boring subplots.

I do think the Dimitri subplot with his GF was slow, and my god I hated her.

Doctor and Keiko subplot was boring.

That's too bad. I liked the premise but felt the writing fell short and lost interest about half way through or so.

I wish we had intentional one season shows. If you knew that working up to the finale was really it it would add a lot of interest. It kills some interest to know they are writing to keep the show going season after season rather than with a definite end.
