The episode with the bomb that can destroy an entire armored column was pretty impressive.

Are you talking about J-SOW with terminal velocity cluster bomb payload?

These shows seem to come out mainly when the US is involved in some reasonably substantial conflict.

"Look at these amazing weapons that most of the military won't ever use for at least another decade!"

Oooooh.....aaaahhh....
Your tax dollars at work. And now a privately owned company is making money telling you about what those dollars are busy doing! It still astonishes me that there are people out there that insist, "You can't make money off of war."

Maybe; I just remember it shooting pieces of molten copper eveywhere.

Speaking of terrible hosts, the guy who hosts "Extreme Engineering" on Discovery is HORRIBLE.

If I had to hear him whine one more time about his fear of heights and other nancy-boy fears, I was going to throw my remote through my TV.

I like the show okay, but I absolutely hate the host.

Yeah, he seems like a jackass. He has all the personality of a congealed pot of grease. they should stick Mike Rowe in there.

Take your meds old man 😛

I caught a bit of FW last night and thought it was decent. The new landing craft was pretty cool.

I missed the show. I did see a cool concept a while back. Take a battleship, with its 16" projectiles, and put a scramjet engine/gps fin packages on them. Shoot them and let the scrampjet engine kick in. Now you have a ballistic gps guided projectile with a 500mile range. It should help save a lot of the Tommahawk cruise missiles for something else.

Me likes. Watched 3 episodes so far. That HK 416 last night was kick butt. Fired with sand and water in it. Fired in any position (killer rotary magazine too). The serious trick is that the bolt remains cool under continous fire too.

I liked the one with the transforming 50 cal machine gun.

yea that was awesome, with the intelligent rounds that calculate when its inside the room and explodes killing everybody in that room is amazing. and no recoil!!
