How can you score lower than my when I have 2 GT's and you have 2 GTX's???

EDIT: My score was 7102

Were I to guess I'd say it's because your CPU is running at .2GHz faster with twice the L1 cache offsets any slight advantage I'd have with two GTXs.

SM2.0 Score: 1951
HDR/SM3.0 Score: 1883
CPU Score: 2046

Opteron 165@2750, EVGA 7800GTX 490/1200

Does that look right? Why is my SM3.0 score so much lower than my SM2.0 score? Everybody else seems closer...

EDIT:

Another run with reboot and slider from "High Quality" to "Best Perfomance"
Clocked the EVGA 7800GTX to 495/1250

4926

SM2.0 Score: 1981
HDR/SM3.0 Score: 1925
CPU Score 2074

This is scary... CPU1 - Red Valley 0.666 <------ MY COMPUTER IS POSSESSED!!!

I did- they actually lowered my score by a few points- margin of error thing though- but my night vision gogles in special forces no longer totally blind me when in the more well lit areas of the map...I'm happy!:)

Well first run with my system I got 3993 :| :|

So I pushed it just an inkling further and got 4002 :) I think its a psychological thing....that I would push my hardware to the breaking point for 7 measly 3D Marks :p....oh well I'm happy now

Isn't it interesting that 3dmark05 favoured ati cards, with x1800xl beating 7800gt and it was the nvidia fans that said 'lets play 3dmark all day  real world games matter'.

Now 3dmark06 nvidia is better and ati fans now say what matters is performance in real games. Tables have turned.

2685 with the usual background apps running.

Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.55GHz
6800GS @ 500/1200
1.5 GB RAM

Looking at the post 2 above mine, a 6800GS is about 1400 points behind a 7800GT at the same clocks.

hrm.. well i got a whopping big zero

is it normal for 3dmark'06 to just plain crash if it deems your video card unworthy?

i have a 6600gt and at first it crashed as soon as i clicked 'run tests'.. but then i upgraded to the very latest forceware drivers and now it ran through the first test.. at horrid FPS ranging from 1-4 fps lol... and then it crashed on the 2nd test

man i can't wait to upgrade.. a big part of me wants to wait till the g80.. but i know i probably won't be able to hold off till then and have to buy the g71 or 1900x.. sigh

Before I go to bed tonight, I'm going to toss a 4800+ X2 and X1800XT together and do a run. I'm interested in the results in comparison (sadly, because I'm running the X2 right now on an Xpress 200 board, the CPU is pretty much going to have to stay stock).

SM 2.0 990
CPU 1095

I know its not a top of the line pooter, and it never was, but I thought some people would be interested in seeing how a bottom middle range rig would do.
Do you have hyperthreading turned off?

nope hyper threading is on, why? is that a low score?

It should run. If it ran on my x700, it should run on a 6600GT. But I can confirm that for you, I'll go run it on my 6600GT right now..

I think so. It must be your video card slowing you down.

Your P4 3.0 did better than my 3500 winchester @ 2.4 GHz in the CPU tests. Then again you are overclocking yours to 3.75GHz
