Just demographics, helps to better understand responses to other questions.

Ok, that's cool. I just abstained from the question. ;) Wasn't trying to criticize it.

Just as I thought, mostly folks unaffected by the Economy in here because they make much more than 50k. They live in their own little Political view world and don't have to shop at Wally World and Gas prices don't affect them either.

Do you think you can accuse others of living in their "own little Political view world?" ;)

25% of respondents are Republicans, and 93.33% of respondents believe the war in Iraq will NOT help prevent attacks INSIDE the US in the LONG TERM? Nice.

Bush's invasion of Iraq was the greatest recruitment tool a terrorist could hope for.

I expect the attacks will be in the words of Commander Cuckcoo Bananas a 'suicider', a person with a vest, backpack full of explosives.

Who will most likely be carrying a valid new "national ID" card because DMV offices across this country are full of corrput people, and proof of identity can be done with a couple of 100 dollar bills. The average, honest citizen won't be able to get their ID, because they don't have 4 approved documents of proof of who they are. I don't, do you?

I'm in the > 50K but I fear that this will very soon be in the poverty level. Not because of inflation, but because of health care. I can easily see that I could be spending half of that per year to cover health care coverage. I'm on the low end of what some might call "middle class", and under Commander Cuckcoo Bananas there will only be the poor and the stinking rich.

Bump, interesting poll. It would be even more interesting to see this done as a scientific national poll.

Good job, Bush.

Did you make this poll so that you could use the results to bash Bush? Serious question.

He may have, but his remark is a bit daft. All the poll proves is that the makeup of ATP&N leans quite a bit to the left, which is no real surprise to anyone.

Seems like the results speak for themselves. Based on the political affiliation question, the respondents are fairly evenly split between left and right, with a slight edge to the left. This suggest Bush's "base" is becoming disenchanted. That's why it would be so interesting to see this done scientifically at a national level.

Very true. This is a VERY unscientific methodology here.

Well, everyone fits into some catagory, that doesn't mean they have "their own little political world view". Give people a little more credit, eh?

I just don't see how a poor person's view on terrorism would be justifiably different than someone that was a millionaire.

to be honest, i think both those extremes (very wealthy and very poor) in general probably spending their time less involved in the world of politics and more involved in their personal life. im not trying to say either group is partiularly selfish or daft but that people who have trouble making cash are probably spending more time making money and struggling to get by than watching the news..like wise, i still believe that there are a number of wealthy people that work hard and long to get the cash they do and are also spending more time on managing that.
