For a company that sells technology products, their website is firmly stuck in 1999.
I had pre-ordered a launch PS4. Wanted to get one early so I could review it for my site. Had an issue with my credit card. Number had got leaked in some hack but Capital One neglected to notify me. NCIX sent me an email saying the card was declined. Looked through the whole site to see if there was a way to change payment info on pre-orders. Nope. Called them. Told me I'd have to sort the issue with Capital One without ever asking for an alternate payment method, then shooed me out the door.
Called Capital One, took them 10 minutes to rectify the issue. Took NCIX a week to fix it on their end. Having worked in retail, problems with cards are common. At most it takes five minutes to fix, not 7 days. Even for a busy place. Almost lost my pre-order. I was pretty unimpressed.
I had also ordered a game from Amazon on the same card. Went into my order on the website. "Would you like to change payment info?" Yes please! Done and dusted.
I've noticed that NCIX's retail stores, out here anyway, have started to slide. Impossible to get help in there. So I get my parts from Canada Computers now.
