Future AGP cards generations

How many more product cycles(full=new architexture, half=speed/memory improvements aka Ultra) can we expect ATI and NVIDIA to release AGP and PCIe video cards for?

And if they do keep on realeasing them how big of a peformance gap will there between AGP and PCIe assuming the same processor and memory?

I dunno, but i think that AGP still has a year or a year and a half left in it. I dont think there will be much of a difference in speed, as the difference between AGP 4x and 8x is about 2-3%, so i think it'll be a good year or two yet before they harness all the bandwidth of AGP 8x...

My personal opinion is that the next generation will be the last for top end AGP cards. I imagine that both ATi and nVidia will make the next gen native PCIe, but will also offer a bridge chip variety. Then after that, AGP will only be available in their lower end cards. Just a guess on my part though... It really depends on how widespread the adoption of PCIe is at that time.
