I just finished off Season 4 on DVD. I'm surprised by the level of emotion there is in this series. I was heart broken at the end of "Jurrasic Bark" after recently losing my Irish Setter. Also, the end of the very last episode was incredibly touching, I think it's good they didn't end the entire show on a comedic note.

That aside, this season was ridiculously hilarious. Not sure if it's my favorite, but definetly one of the better ones.

The crew of Futurama knew that Fox was going to cancel them, so they attempted to make Season 4 "feel" like a going away season. Hence more emotion. The fans wanted it, and they wanted to include it. I'm glad they did. Gave me closure.

"Please, don't stop playing Fry. I wanna know how it ends."

*sniff*

yea futurama is great, i miss it now that its gone 🙁 however they are still on Cartoon network and DVDs

man, i'm glad i have the dvd's, i miss futurama, i thought it was hilarious, in some ways more so than even *gasp* family guy.

God, honestly. It was beautiful, I don't think they could have done it any better.

Yes, you can always look at it as a good thing that Futurama got a chance to end on a high-note. Unlike shows, such as the Simpsons, best example I can give right now, that live for 10+ seasons and start to dry out and veer towards the mundane. It's hard to be a fan of a show and watch it do that.

OMG agreed. Whole season was much more emotional, and Jurrassic Bark was totally heart-wrenching..

Definetly, this season was great! The ending of Jurrassic Bark was just so incredibly sad - I can't remember a more touching and moving television moment (tragic news events excluded).

yup futurama rocked..

the simpsons used to but theyve gone from 15-20 good eps a year

too 3 or 4 good ones and the rest isn't worth watching. end the show already and do the movie

no, it was definitely better than family guy.

I think that Family Guy is probably more hilarious, but not by much...but I think Futurama had a more real feeling to it. You could connect with the characters more. I loved that show...RIP Futurama...

Completely and utterly agree. Even thinking about it gives me chills a bit, and makes me terribly sad. Anyone who has ever lost or even had a dog would be touched by this.

Oh man, I've made posts about this before.

The Holographic Flute (Like was mentioned before), Jurassic Bark, the "Luck of the Fryish" (With his brother/nephew), and the episode where Leela meets her parents.

Those were SUCH KICK A$$ endings. Talk about a great show.

EDIT: The song from the episode where Leela meet's her parents at the end, Pizicatizzo Five-Baby Love Child (Or something like that, I have it at home.)

I forgot about the Luck of the Fryish episode, that was also wonderful, as well as Leela's episode with her parents.

Such a great way to end the show.

One more episode: Where the Harlem Globetrotters are on, and there is that rip in space/time, and at the very end Fry see's what he did to make Leela love him. And as the credits start...they start playing that H. Globetrotter song with the whistling....

Good stuff.

Family guy was hilarious, but in pure random fashion. Futurama was more hit or miss, but it was also hilarious, I definetly enjoyed it overall much more.

Also true, that was when it had morals. There were some emotional simpsons episodes, the Spring Break one revolving around Lisa comes to mind.
