Yes, sadly, it is. But maybe because of good supply or the slow economy, it's not going for "crazy" prices...yet.

prices where lot higher on ebay..seemed to have really died now..dont see any there for over 40 bucks.

I just paid $52.00 plus $10 shipping on Ebay. Many were going for $10 higher thann that this a.m.. I needed a different color anyway.
BUT DAMN... I probably would have jumped on this one.

 
My cousin wanted one of these, but the durability looks shoddy at best. I dunno if I should get this yet. I never even knew it was that hot.

lol real cat fur. PETA would have nuked Hasbro if it were real cat fur. That would be funny. The cat meat goes to your local chinese food take out and the fur went to make this little toy. 😛

btw when I went to check out the cat at the amazon link, it stated that its not in stock. When I went thru a Netscape shopping link to amazon, it said it was in stock. Due to the "hotness" of this toy, I would double check to see if your order is in stock or not.
 
They have kittens and cats, be careful to order the one you want.

I got a Marmalade one from Amazon last week for $29.99. Got it in three days with standard shipping too! Not bad.
 
My wife has been calling around trying to find one locally, two different stores have told her that these have been recalled. I've been looking for confirmation online and haven't found anything yet, but the opinion sites don't have much good to say about them.
 
This "toy's" head "Bobbles" constantly, and when petted, you get a handful of coarse "fur"!! The "meow" sounds like a woman meowing, NOT a REAL cats' Meow! After 15 mins of trying to get the cat to do what it's advertised to do, it goes COMPLETELY DEAD! You have to squeeze the tail 5 times to get it to "Hiss" at you. It ONLY turns its' head to the Left, and the sensor in the shoulder DOESN"T work, to make the cat arch its back. WHAT A DISSAPPOINTMENT

One reviewer wasn't pleased with this years hottest toy, can anyone say cotton candy maker?
 
Why does the cream one say made by Tiger Electronics and have no picture while the rest of them say made by Hasbro and have a picture?

And what kind of scale are they using to weigh that kitty in at EXACTLY 3.866667 pounds!!
