Ok I bit too. Here's the email I just sent him:

"Wow!! What a monster rig. I'm highly interested in it, too bad you dont have a "Buy It Now" option. Please give me some more details on this fine system.
Does the Celeron (faster than a P4) support qunituxet anti-aliasing and full-screen dithering? Also, is it 32mb or 728mb of on-die L4 cache? What a monster!
That 32mb soundcard sounds awesome. What brand is it, and is it fully compatible with 16million voices at 1280x1024dpi?
SOrry I'm asking so many questions, but I think I'm going to buy this.
Ok, whats the dealio with the mouse and keyboard not costing as much if you dont include them? Are they the new 3 pound Dell XP multi-threading ones? Ive seen them at Dell's site for like $200 or something.
One last question, that case is trick. Is it one of those powdered aluminum ones from Lucy-Liu? Those are made exclusively in China and imported here only. I think only Dell gets thoses.

LMK man, I want this box.

Thanks
Eric "

Ah...what the hell, I was bored.
Tee hee
😀

Here's mine.

This system looks totally sweet! I was looking for something like this to replace my Athlon XP2100+ and this looks like the ticket. The 32MB sound is what I was really hoping to find. I am a professional musician. Can you tell me some more about the sound on this computer and does it come with speakers? Also, the DVD drive, is it the kind that lets you record? I know some computers have these. Please let me know. I'll buy it now if I can.

This loser is going to hate opening his inbox!

I took the direct approach.

People like you are what give eBay a bad name. Please remove this auction and replace it with one that contains factual informatiion.

You do not deserve to sell here. Whatever unfortunate soul buys this computer is going to get an email from me speaking of the misinformation.

Good day.

Maybe it is a 450 MHz. Maybe te decimal is in the wrong place. Maybe it should be .45 Ghz instead of 4.5 GHz. Maybe this guy has no clucken flue what is going on

Maybe.

But what is a 32mb sound card?

maybe you guys dont know the whole story.

maybe he has a time machine and is from the future? did any of you think of thaT? man hateing on the guy like that.

you all need to get the FULL story before you rat him out to ebay!

But what is a 32mb sound card?
Well, back in the day you could pop in 30-pin SIMM modules into the AWE32 series sound cards (and proprietary ones into the AWE64s) to store custom wavetable samples. So 32MB sound cards aren't imaginary things. But I'm sure that's not what the seller's giving ya'! 😛

The AWE32 (ISA) in theory could hold up to 32MB of 30 PIN SIMMS! VERY expensive in 1994! ($1280) The card retailed for $299. Newer cards such as the AWE64 Gold were upgradeable to 24MB total using expensive proprietary modules from Creative.

The jackanus probably meant to say 32 note polyphony instead of 32 MB card. I remember people asking for 32 bit sound cards back in the day. We had them but they were really signal acquisition boards and were ridiculously expensive.

Cheers!

Believe it or not...I actually had a 32MB sound card back in the day. It was an original SoundBlaster 32 (the one with SIMM sockets...not the stupid proprietary memory from Creative.) I had it for awhile and when I switched motherboards (SIMM to DIMM) I put my old memory on the soundcard. It actually had 64mb (I think) but the card could only address up to 32mb. Loaded some really nice General MIDI/GS/Roland sample sets!
