Funny thing happened on the bus today

I haven't been getting much sleep lately, so I was late for the bus today. I decided to take a nap in the back of the bus instead of reading, which I normally do.

Near the end of the ride, I finally open my eyes, and I realize that the girl in the adjacent aisle is looking at me. She was quite pretty, too. I open my eyes and look at her and she gets flustered and starts to cough and look away. The next stop was her stop and when she got up to leave she gave me another look. I was late for work, but next time I ride on the later bus, maybe I will stop and talk to her. 🙂 I am not saying that I am going to pursue anything (I usually don't do things that way), but it would be interesting to just talk to her and find out why she was so interested. (I probably had something on my face 😉 😛 )

She was quite cute though. It must have been the nice jacket and nice work clothes I wore today. They always make the dorky me look a lot better than normal. 😉 Plus, I am a peaceful sleeper, so maybe she was curious as to how I could sleep so peacefully in the back of the bus.

I think it was because your fly was down. You forgot to zip it when you rushed out of the house to try to catch the bus.
 
Lucky you. When I used to ride the CTA bus in the city, I got to see great things like old men salaciously reading gay pr0n magazines (yes, it IS possible to read something salaciously) and bums chugging liter bottles of Cool Mint Listerine. :frown:

I will have to say hi to her or something next time. I have gotten in some very interesting conversations on the bus before, but that is usually in the afternoon when I am more alert and lucid.

Hahaha... I take the park and ride, so most of the people who ride those buses are riding to work. If you take the local buses, it may be different.

The girl gave me a very pleasant look too. It wasn't a you are weird type of look, but I have been known to miread things. 😉 😛

Ah. Yeah, the downtown Chicago buses offer quite the variety of patrons at any given time of day. I think your situation won't require quite the same level of carefulness as it would if you had been on a downtown city bus -- for instance, the girl in question is most likely actually female and always has been. Most likely.
