Back when I was doing tech work I'd always edit the registry and change the last user logged in entry so that their username would show up in the login screen. I started doing that due to the volume of calls I'd get after working on a system asking me why they couldn't log in or what their username was. 😛 Users are fun! Woo!
I'm soo glad I got out of tech work and into the programming side around 5-6 years ago.
I had stuff happen to me like this when I fixed computers for teachers for a class I had in high school. They were always so happy when I fixed them. My favorite one is when I hooked one of my teachers to the library network along with the teacher one. He was so happy that he didn't have to walk to the library anymore.
