Funny Font Problem

Please can anybody shed any light as to why all my arrors/ticks and drop box symbols have disappeared ?

See in the marked RED area, them 8's are supposed to be triangles/arrowrs pointing RIGHT. I have tried a system resore (4 of them) and the all say incomplete. I'm running XP 64bit SP2 if that helps I REALLY don't want to reinstall windows. I am hoping in holding onto this install until Win7 is released.
I presume it's some kind of font issue, so if anbody knows the font that is used to draw these symbols I could try and replace it if it's missing.

Are you running some kind of custom theme? If you are, did you try going back to a Windows Default and see if you still have the problem?


I believe these are the only fonts that come with Windows by default:
Courier New (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)
Arial (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)
Times New Roman (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)
Symbol (TrueType)
Wingdings (TrueType)
MS Serif
MS Sans Serif

You can try copying those from another PC and placing them in the Fonts directory.
 
Yep gone back to windows classic and that didn't sort it out. Been running this theme for about 6-8 months now. I was having a little issure of the Hard drive still thrashing for about 2 minutes after windows AND it programs have started, I heard that windows loads ALL your font on start up so started deleting them (Yes I know I should have put them in a temp/storage folder NOW).
