Ha. My wife made me downsize as well. It's amazing how you can occupy exactly as much desk real estate as you have available to you with stuff.

how hard is to keep a desk clean? I might have 4 -5 papers stacked on my desk "pending" that's all.

My whole desk and home office look like that. I just close the door so the wife doesn't have to look at it.

You people with tidy desks are weird.

Well I will admit my desk does looks like a train wreck when I'm doing hw or working on a clients pictures. I do clean my desk off at the end of the night because if I wake up in the morning and see my messy ass desk I'll get all pissed off... Not a good way to start a day off

we have a basement computer center that i took 2 8 ft counter tops from lowes stacked them side by side and basically have what's in that pic except longer.

me too, my wife made me get rid of the L shaped table, turned out not to be that bad

I still have the L, I have too many devices sitting on it to downgrade. It's not really messy, but I use it to do occasional repairs on so I need the space. Plus my printer is big.

I try really hard to clean up my desk area each week so I rarely ever let it build up so much. Most important thing I found was to just not get attached to stuff - when in doubt throw it out! That helps me reduce the clutter alot.
