For the record these are not official demands. But just the list of some guy connected with the movement.

Ah. I see.

Are you sure you don't want a job at Fox News? The pay is good, and the work description is right up your alley.

These are hilarious... yeah they won't get my support at all with these "demands". They're fucking retarded and don't fix anything, just add to the problem. What kind of moron would even make that list?

Since there seems to be so many of these people, why don't they just set up their own voluntary commune. Their commune can just confiscate however much it wants from these people and redistribute it as they see fit. It can provide them a "living wage", "free" education, healthcare etc

There's no reason they need to steal from the rest of us that don't want any part of this nonsense.

If its as great as these people think it will be, people will be dying to sign up to it.

Reads exactly like the communist demands, surprise, surprise, surprise.

In case anybody forgot them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Communist_Manifesto
Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
Abolition of all right of inheritance.
Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.[13]

Because it is a discussion forum and we discuss stuff.

How come you aren't bitching about any other threads?

Are you a supporter of censorship? Do you think that only threads that pass your muster should be allowed?

Perhaps everyone should just PM you ideas for threads in the future before posting so we don't offend your sensibilities.

Personally I think people should be allowed to start any thread they want as long as it is not hateful trolling such as wwswimming.

I find it strange that someone who purports to be a professor would not understand the difference between censorship and quality control. As a digression, I find it amusing that so many Republicans seem to have such a contorted view of what constitutes censorship (I am thinking of Sarah Palin's tweets about the Westboro Baptist Church in particular).

There is already a thread about the Wall Street protests, and I don't find anything particularly different about this topic to justify another thread. I think your brand of thread-starting smacks of narcissism and a misguided desire to guide the discussions here in a way that suits your political bent. Obviously you have the legal right to start endless numbers of troll threads (a right you exercise with great frequency and relish), but if your goal is to engage in substantive discussion, you're doing it the wrong way.

his goal is to fill the forums with shit.

He does well just by posting in any old thread.

I actually spent some of my valuable seconds trying to figure out how that articulate film maker and muck raker whose name I don't remember, the fat boy from Flint, could have possibly become so addled as to come up with such a list. I hate it when these assholes fuck with my mind. ;)

Some blogger has a "list of demands?" While the blog is undeniably silly, this is quite some desperation if its proferred as a talking point on...anything.

Don't the AT forums have rules against paid hacks or unpaid-but-employed shills posting on the forums? Mod ruling on this?

It is a shame we don't have a rule against idiots because you would be banned for actually believing that I am located at RNC HQ.

Who determines what is quality though?

A person with your views or a person with my views?

Perhaps the best policy is to let the members decide. If you don't like a thread then don't post in it. That way one person isn't deciding for everyone what constitutes quality.

Almost every person I've heard from this marxist fest (interviews, sings, etc) were spouting the same rhetoric and goals as communists. It's no surprise reall as these tards represent the true views of the liberal.

I REALLY hope democrats come out and say they support this. That would be awesome and really expose their true goals (not like they haven't already).

I bet if you take a poll you'd find a plurality of the board could believe you work for the RNC. Lol troll.

LOL@ you and your delusions about liberals. It's a never-ending source of entertainment. I will say one thing for you though. If I actually believed that those views were typical of liberals, I might hate them almost as much as you do.

I cannot stand these protests.
I enjoy my 401K dive-bombing to less than zero.
I love the freedom to live from paycheck to paycheck.
I want so badly to be taxed to death so some B of A CEO can retire in Fiji.
And I especially love and enjoy my US congress owned and operated by Goldman Sachs.
Don't you ?????

You see it on full display on this forum everyday (it's like DU really) and I truly only got really involved in donating and actively working against liberals with my time and efforts because of this forum. So thank you. If I hadn't known the liberal really thinks like this, what they've shown, what they believe, their insane reasoning and seen they TRULY believe it I could stand buy and just vote.

But NO, after seeing the mind of a liberal on full display I'm freaking motivated to stop them via my time, money, energy and volunteering. That list of demands is basically a platform for what liberals spew day in and day out on this forum. And as I said, no surprise it matches up pretty well to the communist doctrine.

I find it even funnier that they are capitalists who thought investing in their education would garner a nice return on investment. herpaderp indeed.
