This is great. You must read if you are a computer geek even in the tiniest of percentages.

http://www.centos.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=127

Heck you must read if you have common sense.

UPDATE:
http://www.tuttletimes.com/siteSearch/apstorysection/local_story_088201244.html
http://www.digg.com/software/The_Tuttle_Times_story_on_Jerry_Taylor

The 2nd link is the updated digg story on the front page :)

All the links you need for the story are on the tuttletimes site on the right hand side now.

You gotta read the guy's response.

quoted from article at the TuttleTimes. . .

quote:

[CentOS is] a free operating system that this guy gives away, which tells you how much time he?s got on his hands.?

New variant of oldsmoboat's law: If the thread title suggests that the contents are "the funniest thing"/"one of the funniest things" ever, the content will be mildly humorous at best.

Amazing how the guy still seemed to blame it on him after it was fixed by the hosting company.

Are you sure that it's fixed?

lol

Obviously, CentOS is still hax0ring them.

hahahaha I laughed so hard at the ignorance of this man. If you took a basic computing class in highschool, you would know what the problem is from the start....

The problem is, the centos guys tried to explain what centos is.

Big mistake.

I've done end user support before. Explaining to users what their problem is is pointless. They just aren't knowledgeable enough to comprehend anything.

lmao - the guy claims he has 22 years experience with computer science...
What a moron.

:) I hope someone sends the tuttle times a link to those pages

The guy's an absolute jerk... I wouldn't have had anywhere near the patience with him that the CentOS guy had. Funny stuff - not ROTFLMAOPIMP level, but still a highly amusing read.

Might try the actual webpage http://www.tuttle-ok.gov/

If you read the emails between the two people you'll see that tuttle-ok.gov was working but that it lead the CentOS employee to cityoftuttle.org which was dead.
