Community takes the most unorthodox chances, and often succeeds. The writing is stellar, too. For any one episode, Parks and Rec or Modern Family can take top spot.
Last year I would have said Modern Family hands down. But I feel it's kind of running in place while both Community and Parks and Rec have continued to improve.

One new sitcom that I haven't seen mentioned here but that I've taken a shine to is Happy Endings. All three female leads -- Elisha Cuthbert, Casey Wilson, Eliza Coupe -- rawk, each in a different way. And the writing is often top notch!
