there's a couple reasons why soccer (originally an english term, btw) sucks:

1. flopping is rewarded so heavily, it's necessary to exploit it.
2. ineffective officiating. a couple world cups ago, 1 player was given 3 yellows in 1 game, and still stayed in!
3. boooooring! with such infrequent attacking, i'm not watching a 2-hour game for a 1-0 or 0-0 score.

It is one of the toughest sport. Injuries can be pretty bad due to high speed and no protected gears, unlike hockey & American football, hence many ahole players fake injuries as a tactic.
