-> Funky Sound <- SOLVED

I just installed Win2K on my newish computer. I have installed the latest drivers for all my equipment, including the sound card and SP2.
The sound works, but rather randomly (like 6 or 7 times every 30 seconds) it stops playing for a second or two. This happens while playing my Mp3s and also in games. It seems like it could be points of the song with more bass, but that is just speculation. The speakers and sound card worked fine yesterday (on windows ME), so I don't think they are broken. What can I do to solve this annoying problem? Any help is much appreciated.

Howdy, Cowboy.

1. Uninstall the software for it.
2. Remove and reseat the soundcard
3. Reinstall software for it.

Rationale:
1. Sometimes, a driver installation goes bad..it happens
2. #1 cause of things "not working" or not working right...it helps to do #1 first, though (call it stuperstition)
3. Duh.

CHEERS! I got it solved. I actually searched around a little bit, and the drivers/control panel had my output sound set to 6 speakers, when I only have 4! IT is all good now! Cheers!
