I have to comment on P-Anus and these comments:
"If you knew anything on the subject, there was never a ban on stem cell research only federal funds to stem cell research using stem cells from aborted fetuses. Additionally, the vast majority of research is showing that there is little benefit to using these types of stem cells.
Actually the 'ban' wasn't specific to 'aborted' fetuses - nice try to tie abortion into the discussion. You may want to actually read about the source of most embryonic stem cells before you go running off screaming about abortion - here's a hint - abortion isn't the source. As for your 'little benefit' comment - you couldn't be more wrong. While there are other sources/types of stems cells being used in research, to say there is little promise in the study of embryonic stem cells is a flat-out lie.
"Iraq? Obama is sticking to the time line imposed by Bush."
I'm fairly certain that Bush is the one who said "I'm not a fan of timelines", or something to that effect. Also, the 'timelilne' you are referring to was put in place at the very end of the Bush administration, primarily so the GOP could claim they had a withdrawal plan. 7 and a half years of no apparent plan doesn't mean Obama's and Bush's handling of Iraq are similar.
"GITMO? It is till open and will still be open after the deadline of one year Obama promised it closed."
OMG - Obama is a failure, GITMO is still open.
"Health care legislation? Is he really pushing it? I mean the Democrats control the house, senate, and white house, whats the hold up if this is a major priority for the American people or if the American people wanted what Obama is selling."
Really? The Obama adminstration isn't pushing for this? Really? Let me see if I understand this - Health care reform - which really hasn't had a significant legislative event in 60+ years - should have already happened, and the fact that it hasn't already happened means Obama isn't pushing it? Really? This is how you see things?
