function key is going hay-wire

on my laptop my function key is not pressed but all the buttons that use the function key use it as it were. when i press the function key down it works like it wasnt pressed. i have no idea whats wrong.
 
never mind, i fixed it, or found the problem. for some reason if the numlock is on it causes it to do all that screwy stuff. when you turn off numlock it works fine. sorry for the waste of time

Glad to hear that you fixed it. If the keyboard is connected to an internal PS2 port then eiter the PS2 port could be misfuntioning or the keyboard controller could be screwed.
