The highlights:

McDonald's feeds 68 million people per day, that's about 1 percent of the world's population

According to company estimates, one in every eight American workers has been employed by McDonald's

McDonald's is the world's largest distributor of toys, with one included in 20% of all sales

McDonald's' iconic golden arches are recognized by more people than the Cross

The only place in the lower 48 that is more than 100 miles from a McDonald's is a barren plain in South Dakota

I'm actually not even sure how McDonalds stays in business. Who pays money for their food?

I won't touch their lunch/dinner food, well maybe McNuggets from time to time. But I love me a McSkillet Burrito and the $1 Sausage McMuffin. And their coffee is pretty good.

Us poor people.

Real Americans that work as well as the ones living on Government entitlements.

You 1%ers wouldn't know.

On the bright side McRib came back this week.

Little known fact. The secret ingrediant in the McRib is the grease they clean out of the traps. It takes a whole year of buildup to get enough to bring back the McRib for just a few weeks.

Makes sense, A year's worth of flavor.

Their food also sucks. They left out that little fact. (Although their fries aren't BAD)

McDonalds food isn't bad. It is what it is: fast food. They've engineered it very carefully to have a taste that is acceptable to the large majority of people in the places where they do business. It's not like it's even supposed to be the best burger around. It's the best burger that you can get in nearly every town in the U.S. in five minutes knowing it will always taste exactly like the last one you got in a town two hundred miles away. I don't think anyone would expect them to be more or less than that.

And for the record, the Black Angus 1/3 pound ain't bad at all as fast food burgers go.

No need to include that fact, it's universally accepted.

If so, please explain the success of McDonald's?. Everyone knows the food is crap but they buy it by the $billions anyway?. Sorry, every now and then a Big Mac just hits the spot, burger snobs can now pile on me but I still love me a Big Mac...

Before reshaping, foods like chicken nuggets, hot dogs, bologna and pepperoni look like a disgusting sludge of pink paste. This is done through a process called mechanical separation, which is a cost-effective way to “smooth out” bone remnants left after the de-boning process. The process results in excessive bacteria, which is fixed by washing the meat in ammonia. To cover up that delicious ammonia flavor, the meat is then re-flavored artificially and dyed to resemble to type of meat it once was.

Their Southern Style chicken sandwich is delicious.

I'll always have a place in my heart (and spot in my stomach) for their standard chicken sandwich too (especially at $1)...

and of course, I could never give up their Double Cheeseburgers.

omg it's quite literally crack. Is it the best burger I've ever had? Hell no. I barely even classify it as hamburger. It is, however, crack-fortified meat-like substance that lights up all the pleasure centers of the brain during consumption. And I'd pay about a buck for that. Perfect for when you are on the run and just need to get sustenance but don't care to research where better food joints are, and/or don't want to pay all that much.

McD's is like a two, maybe three times a month thing for me, at most. Perhaps not at all for a stretch of time.
Same with any other fast food. Taco Bell, Arbys... not often, but tasty enough for what they are.

I don't mind McD's breakfast menu. I could eat just about everything they serve in the morning. I'm not a huge fan of their other items however. The last few times I've eaten lunch or dinner from them I've felt nauseous so I don't go back. But their food works in a pinch. When we're on our way home from a late out of town game or something, my family would rather go to McD's rather than a Carl's Jr. or even Jack, which I prefer. Those are some pretty interesting facts though.

Yea, that woman claimed to find that in her Mc'nugget box, complete total bullshit, the chickens are in fact beheaded right at the start and discarded, unless a McDonald's employee was playing a prank there is no way it could happen. Oh yea, the investigation was hampered by the fact the woman refused to surrender the head so it could be examined, kinda telling part of that story right there..

MSG is what their meat is "fortified with" that lights up the pleasure centers of your brain.

Kids love McDonald's because of the toys and the Play Place. Teenagers love McDonald's because they can eat while they hang out. Adults go to McDonald's because it's where the kids beg to go. Old people go to Wendy's for the free coffee.
