Fun brainteaser..

You're in a room with 3 light switches. Each controls one of three bulbs in the next room. You have to determine which switch controls which bulb. All lights start in an off position, and you may only flick two switches and enter the room with the light bulbs once . How do you determine which switch controls which bulb?

Easy, flip one on and leave it on for a while, flip it off and flip another on. Go to the next room, first switch controls the bulb that is off but warm, second switch controls the bulb that is on, and the third switch controls the bulb that is left.

Too fast =/

But you're the winnAR :beer:

Turn 2 light switches on. Wait a few minutes. Turn one light switch off. Enter the room. The light that is on is the one controlled by the switch that is on. The light that is off and warm/hot is the one connected to the switch you just turned off. The one that is off and cool is the one you did not activate.

This is old.

<edit>

bah. i didn't bother to submit this fast enough. nvm.

Turn on the first switch.
Leave it on for a period of time.
Turn off the first switch and turn on the second one.
Go in the room with the bulbs.
The bulb that's on is controlled by the second switch.
The bulb that's warm is controlled by the first switch.
The bulb that's cold is controlled by the third switch.

Took too long typing....
