Yeah but if you werne in their situation you know you would doe exactly what they are doing. And considering a LARGE portion of the economy of border states is based on the work these people do, don't say the don't contribute, a lot do jobs that no american would want to do for the wage they are making.

Good they need to shut down all public schools. Anything free is not respected.. Think Jaun or Tyirce would put the whoopin on thier son if they actually had to pay for it and son acted out/failed out or otherwise did'nt achive to his best ability? Watch F students turn a A's overnight if parents had to pay or partially pay for thier childrens education.

Whites will soon be a minority in the US just like the rest of us. When that time comes, people will finally have to face that the government has a responsibility towards hispanics, blacks, asians, etc. and not just whites as more minorities get elected to govern. Where does your city think those non-english speaking kids are gonna go? Closing down the school just pushes that problem to another school. The problem needs to be dealt with directly, and that won't happen until minorities themselves get more politicians in there.
Yeah seeing the same thing in the town I grew up in. Too many non-english speaking students are putting a burden on the system. There are not nearly enough ESL teachers, and each one they hire costs the districts a premium, which affects the overall budget. Seeing as most school funds in TX come from property tax, I'd say these students require much more money from the education system than they are contributing. The financial state of the system is slowly collapsing, and the immigration rates are rising, so there is no end in site. Really really sad situation, this town is becoming more and more poor.

Mexico is in shambles right now because most of the maquidoras have closed down and the companies have moved to china because of cheaper labor. Fact is it is hard for a hard working Mexican to make a living wage in Mexico and that is why the come here, and US business uses their labor. Why do you think that hardcore conservatives like Bush doesn't do more to stop the flow? It is because he knows what would happen to business if this happened.

That's an easy question. People in Mexico are given no market position. They don't have an SBA or FHA to get loans from - in fact unless you're white (e.g. Spanish looking) or from right family you won't get any loans to develope an enterprise. Same goes for work, it's who you are not what you can do.. All resources in the whole country are controlled by about 5 families. All Land is controlled by same 5 families, they never had a "homestead act".. All government is controlled by the wealthy elites.
You're the first I've ever heard of doubting thier hardwork while if you look out there they displace lazy whites and blacks from arduous work all the time. I think employers employing them are best suited to judge thier work ethic, not you, since they are the ones actually paying for it.

unfortunately along with those hard working individuals many lazy individuals are coming too and creating even more drain on our system that simply cannot support them. This is fact based on increased crime rates and overall poverty in the border states.

I knew many individuals in high school who were living off wellfare with their families in government subsided housing and would brag about this because it was so easy and they had no intention of doing anything to get off it.
In college I knew many immigrants (not from mexico mind you) that also bragged about coming to america getting a FREE ride because their father didn't have to report earnings from his businesses overseas. They would spend the money on shoes and their car while in reality their father paid for their tuition. When I asked what they planned to do if the IRS found out they simply responded "I'll just leave"
Unfortunately I think to many people believe that everyone wants to make a living and wants to work hard and thus deserves the opportunity. America has so much crap going on right now that continuing to allow more and more illegals into the country is just adding to the downward spiral.

yes so we should throw some more money at the border states give more stuff away. People with the frame of mind "let them all in" are the reason things have become the way they have. Where is mexico in all this? Why should my tax dollars go to improving mexico?

Your tax dollars should go to improving mexico because you don't want immigrants here. If we continue to help their economy grow, there will be less reason for them to flee across the border. There is a reason people don't cross the border in droves from Canada into the United States.
The Mexican government needs a lot of help, particularly because Fox was elected, knocking the PRI out of power for the first time. Corruption, particularly among the police officers who enforce the border on the Mexican side is rampant.

I thoght welfare has two years lifetime benefit? In any case the solution is to abandon the free stuff, not victimize people fleeing economic and political oppression. America has a warm heart and was founded on welcoming europes outcasts and history should reflect we continued that tradition IMO.

Because it would slow the flow of illegal immigrants? Trust me the money is better spent in Mexico than in Iraq or sent as foreign aid to Israel (which get by far more than any other country)

Don't be silly. Any money we send there, like drug war money, does'nt move very far as it's used to build mansions for the elites..
