Is it worth getting a full size spare?

I'd imagine it'd be handy to be able to wait on replacing the tire if you are busy or short on cash (the possibility I am worried about, with college).

Its is definately worth getting a full size spare. It adds another tire to your rotation, as well as giving you peace of mind. Driving on one of those high-pressure donut tires is not comforting. Some cars AWD, etc. can't even be run on mini spares. If you do a lot of long distance driving in sparsely populated areas, experts recommend you actually carry two full size spares.

Get the Full, I'm glad I never had to worry about it, but If I had to I'd bail on the donut

Well, including the spare in the rotation aint an option because of my wheels, I aint going to track down a match (although I think they are standard for my car).

I was thinking of getting a used rim and tire at the tire place, so long as it has no leaks and like 30% or 40% tread what do I care?

I just had a flat yesterday and a full-size would have come in real handy. here's my thread

Im thinking about replacing the flat I had and buying a second full-size to use as a spare/emergency instead of the donut.

I got a full-size spare. Now my pants don't fit.

I guess I shouldn't have eaten so many half-size spares.

Full-size spares are great. I highly recommend if yoiu can get one.
