FULL TIME Employees: how many hours do you ACTUALLY work ?

i love how there are more 80-100 percent votes than anyone else.

GUESS WHAT PEOPLE, YOU ARE ON ATOT. THIS DOES NOT COUNT AS WORK.

Ohh wait. I thought you meant, "How many of the hours are you actually AT work?"

I don't really know how much of the time I work cause it varies. I sometimes am here though anywhere from 35-45 hours a week...sometimes more if we're doing something major. I'm salaried.

I will be contacting your bosses shortly, and asking for a prompt raise to those who voted 0-20% 😀

Well I'm AT work but the amount of time it takes me to complete a task isn't the full amount I'm paid for. Say they budget my time for a project... a week (40 hours) to complete task A... but I do it in 15 hours of real time. I'm only ACTUALLY working 15 hours... not the 35-45 hours you're actually present at work like you say...

It is safe to say that Anandtech members are lasy people and lousy workers 😀

Oh, let's get mods to vote, I wonder how much moderating they do per day 🙂

whatever it takes, that varies from 0-200% , i haven't worked more than 80 hours in a week since 1998

For those who cannot decide one choice, just post for the past couple of days...

IT people, especially system administrator-types... it has to be in the 0-20% range, right ? Developers should be on the higher end.

Developers are IT people. And it varies. Sometimes I've got nothing to develop. During those times I'm definitely on the 0-20%. Other times I'm on the 80-100%. You can judge my per diem by checking how much I've posted in any given day.

I have to be billable at least 8 hours per day so put down 100% for me. I'm a developer BTW. We have projects up the wing wang so I have no problems keeping busy. Most weeks I would say I'm slightly above 40 hours.

'course I guess the standard follow-up question would be; besides Anandtech and the Internet, what do you do to look/keep busy?

Well, such a hard life for us Managers. If you're jealous that you can't do this, just consider all the time we Managers had to invest in College while you were partying.
