Full-Text search

I'm not sure if this has been covered already since I tried searching for it.
Is full text searching disabled now? For example, I'm looking for Tekken under the For Sale/Trade forum but nothings coming up. On the Search page, I don't see an option for Title And/Or Body like there used to be.

The full text search is currently not available. The database has to be refreshed first, then the full text search should be available to subscribers again. At least that is my understanding from Zuni.

I saw that I think but that was posted on the 7th of April and I think he said it'd take a few hours or so.

Actually i said it would date days 🙂 8 million messages don't index in hours hehe 🙂

Understandable but I thought the original timeframe was a day or two. It's been 3 days and no update.

As a subscriber I feel a bit cheated that we're beta testing the forums again.

1. this has nothing to do with the new forums, and NOONE is being cheated.
2. full text indexes need to be rebuilt once and awhile, this was the time as we added more capabilities for searching
3. Patience obi-wan it will be back soon.

It's either take the entire forum down for a week, index the db, then bring it back up or have the forums up minus full text search while it indexes.

I'm a subscriber as well and am perfectly happy waiting for it to work well.

ahhh. then thats like..8 cents a day i lose for not having the benefits of being a subscriber since the search working. 🙁
