Dad just bought a new 2003 Mazda MPV last week... 9.1 rating on Edmunds. This 2004 Sienna rated at 9.5 would be about $5k-$10k more than what he paid for the MPV before tax, etc.

MPV also has the fold-flat 3rd-row and the powered roll-down windows on the slide doors.

I'll give this Sienna the nod for interior and exterior looks, but not for nearly $10k more though.

I test drove the MPV about 3 yrs ago, unless they've improved the engine since then it was lacking in torque.
It now has a 3.0L 200hp engine. I do feel more torque in my 3.2L 175hp 8-year-old Rodeo.

What do you expect when its main competitor (Odyssey) is 3-4 years old, and this one is brand new ? :p

How much did you pay and what trim level? Just doing some post-sale research/comparisons.

brought the ce model, because the le model's only useful thing is the alloy wheels

I got leather seats from a different shop, and plan to spend 1.2k on some rims

<-- Still bitter my parents bought a Camry.
You can't go wrong with either of them. :)

I read an article on the new Sienna and how the chief designer and his team bought all the top minivans and took them on a roadtrip across the US to see what they liked and disliked about the minivans in order to design the new Sienna. I believe they said they all liked the Odyssey the best out of all the minivans.
