seems like a good way to get a Mer. cheap. But since it does not say Mer. on it, and the price being over 30K, I don't see sales doing much, after the newness wears off that is.

One more thing: Chryslers ALWAYS have a low resale value (dodge viper exception) and this will be no exception. I have a feeling the market won't accept it as readily as the Mercedes Cousin. Not only that, but Mercedes is having trouble selling their coupes right now and they were offering $5000 rebates on the coupe just a few weeks ago.

I think it's going to be bought by mainly poseurs, old people, and people who are in love with the looks of the car. I highly doubt anyone will buy this as a sports car.

Prolly the same people that bought the Ford TBird will buy this.

I didn't think anyone did buy the T Bird, hence the reason it got canned.

I actually saw one of these the other day at a gas station. THe car looks GREAT in person, the whole design is beautiful. The only quarrel I have is the engine. In that price range, I'd rather it be pushing near 300hp, at least. I like the fact that the car is aftermarket audio system friendly (IE - the headunit is not integrated in the dash)

I think MB is having problem selling all lines of cars as of now. Their quality had dropped so much ever since they introduced the new generation of C-class. :(

There was a Crossfire downtown in a trendy area parked in valet between some exotics. It was the crossfire getting the attention. It's a sharp looking car and definitely looks like is costs more than it's sub $40k price tag.

The engine is from Mercedes which is a plus and in general the car is a pretty good deal for performance minded, luxury coupe seekers. It's no sports car, but nice just the same.
