Full stop vs rolling stop

When you get to a stop sign, do you come to a full stop (where you feel the little jolt forward when you stop) or just a ?rolling stop??

if it's an area where there are a lot of kids, cops or other such things, i always do a full stop. If it's an empty area i'm used to, or in a hurry, then it's a rolling stop 😉 i always look down any intersecting streets, don't just blast off like most drivers

Got tagged by some bitch ass cop doing a .00005 mph rolling right turn at a stop sign. No one around for over a half a mile, except for 2 fukkin cop cars. Where the hell did they come from?!

Usually a full stop, I think. I'm at school right now and I don't drive my car very often, so I can't remember right off the top of my head right now.

I always come to a full stop. Just because you don't see a cop doesn't mean that one isn't around. The money and hassle involved in getting a ticket are more time consuming than the extra 2 seconds it takes me to finish stopping.

at bigger 4 way stops i usually come to a complete stop.....but at 2 way or 3 way that i have good visiblity i usually roll like a mofo

Same here.

Rolling stops almost all the time. Complete stops are generally unnecessary if you have any awareness of your surroundings. To me, "STOP" means you do not have the immediate right of way. It does not mean 0 mph.

With a manual transmission, it's a pain to downshift into 1st. Just slow down in 2nd and give it gas before you stall.

the maneuver(?) i use is called a California Roll....not legal but it works, you slow down just enought to see if there are other cars.

I come to a complete stop, except for on the street I live on. It's two divided one way streets, so in order to go left out of the driveway, I actually have to go right and then do a U-turn. There's a stop sign there, but the view of the oncoming traffic is completely unobstructed, I can tell if I'm gonna have to stop before I'm even in the turning lane.

I usually do the rolling stop or if do stop all the way i coast to a stop and let it roll back just a bit. No way in hell a cop could say i didn't completely stop if i was moving backwards

Full stop.....because I don't want to be one of those whiners that do a rolling stop and then bitch about getting pulled over. :frown:

<< i usually do a full stop
i don't care if people r impatient behind me
>>

Same here. I don't want to get pulled over because I can't waste no more than a mere 2 seconds to make a complete stop.
