I have search all over the place, but I am not sure what the technical term for what I want to do is. I have an ATI 9600 card and dual monitors, I would like to be able to play video across both screens at the same time, currently I am only able to play it in one monitor at a time. Any leads would be greatly appriciated!

you want "desktop spanning" i think. That is unavailable in ATI cards i believe. Only nVidea cards support spanning where you can have resolutions like "3200x1200" if you have 2x 1600x1200 displays side by side.

I'm not sure. If you want to run a *single* video as a full-screen window across both screens (so half the video is on one screen and half on the other, using a "spanned" video mode), you need an NVIDIA or Matrox card. However, I have heard that maybe the latest versions of the Catalyst Control Center software support this -- but I don't have my second monitor hooked up right now, so I can't find out.

If you want to display the *same* video on both screens, you can use an ATI video card as well. Just set the second monitor to mirror the first one, rather than running as an independent display.
