I'm surprised the Starbucks in my town is *not* on the list. I can't remember myself ever buying anything from any Starbucks. Well, it's not so much I'm against Starbucks, I just never got hooked on coffee to begin with, Starbucks or no Starbucks. It was ridiculous when I was last in New York and standing on one street corner three Starbucks were within a single block's walk...

If you were a coffee drinker you wouldn't care if they all closed down. They had good coffee a while ago, but now it tastes like they use twice as much coffee to brew it, then let it sit on a burner all day.

If people really want to pay $2/cup for coffee, they should brew their own Jamaican Blue Mountain :)

They are closing one that opened only a few months ago here. Closing about four in the Omaha area.

Interesting.

Yeah, and AFAIK, even the oldest one opened around four years ago. I think the one here in Bellevue just opened last year.

The one by my dorm is already closing. Not once did I set foot in there :(

whatever.

Interesting. I figured it was my unevolved pallete that I prefer something like dunkin donuts to what I assumed was a "superior" coffee, kind of like how I'd rather drink natural light beer than guiness.

The stuff is fvcking vile, though. Not enough milk or sugar can take away its awful taste and it is like you said, as if they just ran a cup of water through about five lbs of grind and then evaporated out half of the fluid to make it even stronger.

I hate coffee, but my parents had their Starbucks coffee once..hated it. Went to McDonalds and got one of their "premium" coffees, and it was way way better for 1/4 cost.

1/4 of cost? So like 40 cents?
