Full length PCI slot?

What is a full lenght PCI slot? I was looking at the KT133A motherbord reviews and noticed that they often have something that says 6PCI slots (3 full lenght). What are the differance between full lenght and not? They all look the same.
 
It means that there is room to put LONG PCI cards in the slots(nothing on the motherboard blocking it). Ones that take up most of the case in width.

Some slots have resistors or other obstructions behind them, that would get in the way if you installed a full length PCI card. (i.e. the resistors are too tall and prevent the card from installing)
