Where can I find a full download of Internet Explorer? The only file I can find on Microsoft's website is the 400k install program, which needs to connect to the internet in order to install.

I would like to download everything and burn it to a cd, so I can install it on computers that are on dialup.

Thanks!!

Oh, and I don't want to get it from a place like www.download.com because they alter it or something...

~bump~ for a worthy download. (I want to know as well, please)

Ask and you shall receive! unzip it and voila you are all set!

Go to http://www.is12.net Then select "Tech Downloads" from the top of the page.

EDIT: I threw DirectX 9.0b in the zip file as well so you dont have to do the web install for it either.

I used instructions to download directly from Microsoft. Worked great. Thanks!!

One interesting thing, the install program still wanted to connect to the internet about halfway through. Didn't download anything because once it was connected, the CD spun up again and continued installing. Just thought that was odd.

I don't think he did anything, but there is a lot that could have been done, either intentionally or unintentionally.

If there was no other choice, I would use it from him, but since there is a way to get it from MS, no sense taking chances.

I dont blame you for being cautious, there are allot of bad apples out there.
I was offering it as an easy way to get it without it being changed or edited. I also included DirectX 9.0b to make it easier when running to other PC's with modems.
I actually have a Windows XP / Windows 2000 CD that i built with installs for PC's I build or work on.

Includes the following:

Adobe Acrobat Reader 6
Direct X 9.0b
Internet Explorer 6 - Service Pack 1
Internet Explorer Speed Tweak
Tweak UI - Windows 2000, NT, ME, 98
Tweak UI - Windows XP
Windows 2000 - Service Pack 4
Windows XP - Service Pack 1a

If anyone wants a copy that has a 56k connection...holler and i will mail it out to you. :)
I can even include a log file from Mcafee VirusScan on the cd to prove it was scanned the day I burned it.
